FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about using Culture Hub.

Culture Hub is operated by Code.Sydney Pty Ltd.

Finding events

Do I need an account to browse events?

No. Browsing events, community organisations and local businesses is open to everyone. You only need an account to create a Page and publish listings.

Why is an event missing?

Only published events on active Pages appear publicly. An event that is still a draft, belongs to a deleted Page, or has been cancelled will not appear in listings.

What can I filter by?

Events can be filtered by culture, date and location on the events page.

Publishing events

Who can publish an event?

Anyone can create a Page, as an individual in a personal capacity, a community organisation, or a business. Each Page has one manager, who can add administrators.

What is a Page?

A Page is the public identity that owns what is published on Culture Hub. Every event belongs to exactly one Page, and the Page makes it clear who is responsible for the listing.

How do I publish my first event?

Create a Page, then add the event and its scheduled occurrences from the Page dashboard. Publishing requires the page to be active.

Reservations

How do I reserve a place?

Reserve on the event page and verify your booking contact through the email we send. Capacity is enforced, and holds that are not verified in time are released.

Can I change or cancel a reservation?

You can cancel a reservation from the link in your verification email. To change the number of places or the contact details, contact the organiser through the event page.

Accounts and privacy

How do I sign in?

Culture Hub uses emailed sign-in links. There is no password to remember or reset.

What happens to my information?

The privacy policy explains what is collected and how it is used. Anything you publish on a Page is public by design.
